There are a number of resources available on Campus for computer help.
Submit a Department IT Helpdesk Ticket:
For Physics & Astronomy IT questions and help you can fill out an IT service/support request (incident) and you can always contact Andy and/or Brad. If it is after hours or on the weekend and you need immediate help please check with the Campus Help Desk (see below).
Knowledge Commons:
The Marriott Library Knowledge Commons is an excellent source of help and information. Immediate and in person help with extended hours.
Campus Help Desk:
Best help source for Umail, Campus Information System, Canvas and other major campus resources. Phone and email help with extended hours.
Setting up DUO on new phone:
Call the Campus Help Desk at 801-581-4000. They will ask some security questions to verify your identity, then send you a text with an embedded access code to activate DUO on your new phone.
Research Experiences for Undergrads
The Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Utah offers a research experience program in physics and astronomy that allows undergraduate students to work closely with a faculty mentor and their research group on an individual project.
All interested students are invited to apply for this 10-week summer program.
