“Ombuds Liaisons” are department faculty and staff who are available for consultation with students, postdocs, faculty, and staff.  The purpose of Ombuds Liaisons is to connect department members with other on-campus resources to facilitate conflict resolution or resolve issues brought to their attention.  Ombuds Liaisons will listen and may offer perspective, though they are not trained “ombudspeople”.  Ombuds Liaisons, as employees of the UofU, are mandatory reporters, though generally, discussions with an Ombuds Liaison can be kept private.
